This is a mayfly that was on the side of my camper. A mayfly spends most of its life as a nymph underwater. This stage may last for several years. When the nymph is ready to emerge as an adult, it rises to the surface of the water, splits out of its skin, and expands its wings. Adult mayflies mate and then die. Some species live as adults for just a day, and others last a week.
